Microsoft unveils $200 Windows 10 laptops for schools

Microsoft is taking the fight to Chromebooks with a selection of new sub-$200 laptops and sub-$300 convertible PCs. They come with Windows 10 and are loaded with free software to aid in your studies.
The Lenovo 100e will cost just $190 and is powered by an Intel Celeron (Apollo Lake). The company also has the 300e, a $280 convertible with pen support. The Trigono V401 convertible ($300) supports both touch and pen input while the Classmate Leap T303 laptop ($200) features the added security of Windows Hello.

You’re probably wondering about screen resolution, RAM, storage and so on (we are too). The HP Stream 11 Pro G4 EE (which is also a part of the lineup) has an HD screen, 4GB of RAM and 64GB eMMC storage, which we think is a good guideline of the type of hardware on offer.
That said, the software alone could be worth more than $200. There’s Windows 10 for one (though some of these will run 10 S), but also Office 365 with OneNote and Teams. This will make writing and collaborating with your classmates easy.
Microsoft has partnered with multiple companies to offer digital tools to help students learn. From $300 Mixed Reality Headsets to the pricier HoloLens, there will be a VR curriculum by Pearson, the world’s largest education company. BBC will supply Oceans: Our Blue Panet to classrooms and Lego Education will offer a free Hacking STEM lesson plan.

Jio GigaFiber Registrations Page is Live: Everything You Need to Know About Jio Broadband Service

Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband will begin taking registration requests today. The ambitious pan-India home and commercial broadband service is eagerly awaited. But the Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio has successfully managed to withhold information about tariffs and plans. However, with the registrations starting today, Indians have a chance of gaining access to ultra-high speed optical fiber internet service. The Jio GigaFiber is India’s first broadband service that goes across the country on a dense network of optical fibers. Reliance Jio has been laying the network for several years. In fact, the currently deployed Jio 4G mobile telephony and internet service too relies on this very optical fiber network to deliver high-speed wireless connectivity. The Jio GigaFiber is essentially a Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) broadband service that arrives to the doorstep of the subscriber. The company is offering the FTTH network as an all-in-one solution that combines a host...

Huawei Employee Reportedly Reveals Android P Name, And It’s Not What You Think

It’s that time of the year when the world speculates on which dessert will be used as the name for the next Android version. While there have been several easter eggs and hints about Android P’s official name, there’s no clarity on what it might actually be called. According a report by   Tabeltowo , a Huawei employee might have just leaked the full name of Android P as Android Pistachio. During a live chat with a customer, the Huawei support staff clearly said Android Pistachio in relation to a query about software updates in Poland, as seen in the image below: While simply Pistachio might not make sense to most people, considering the fact that Google is known for naming its Android version after desserts, a previous report might help. Back in February,  Bloomberg had reported  that Android P would be called Android Pistachio Ice Cream which makes more sense than just Pistachio. But we are sure you have other P-themed desserts in mind for...
