It's not the first time we hear something about a Chinese company ripping off somebody's work - as Jeremy Clarkson once put it, "copyright infringment doesn't translate terribly well in Mandarin". Also, Xiaomi has been open about following Apple's marketing strategy and design for years. Yet now that the company has outgrown that phase it's somewhat disappointing to learn Xiaomi took Peter Tarka's work (a 3D artist) without permission. To make matters worse, the image was actually commissioned by its rival LG. You can see the two images below and how (almost) identical they are. Back in March, Xiaomi started sending out beta builds of the Android 9 Pie update for both the  Redmi 6 Pro   and the   Redmi Note 5 Pro   to interested testers in India. And now it looks like all the bugs have been ironed out, because the stable update is rolling out for both devices. It's arriving over-the-air in India, as MIUI 10.3.2.0.PDMMIXM for the Redmi 6 Pro, weighing in at 1.6GB. This release includes the May 2019 security patch level. You also get face unlock support for App lock, the ability to stay on the lock screen after using face unlock, and to restrict the opening of the notification shade on the lock screen. As you'd expect, plenty of bug fixes are built-in too. Xiaomi is the world’s second largest wearable maker around the globe after Apple. The Chinese electronics maker shipped more than 10 million Mi Band 3 units in less than seven months since its launch. Xiaomi is continually improving its portfolio and is now expected to launch the fourth generation Mi Band soon. On the day of its launch DxOMark published its review of the Xiaomi Mi 9, praising it as the best Xiaomi phone it has tested and giving it the highest video score of any phone. The Xiaomi Mi 9 got an overall score of 107, which secures it the third spot in DxOMark's all time ranking, just behind the Huawei Mate 20 Pro and P20 Pro. The Mi 9 got a 112 photo score and the aforementioned highest video score of 99. In DxOMark's own writing the Xiaomi Mi 9's "target exposure is consistently spot-on, and the camera captures pleasant color with accurate white balance, and without any color shading or other color issues. Noise levels are very well under control in bright light and under typical indoor conditions, and creep up only in low-light situations; and the autofocus system works swiftly and accurately in almost all circumstances."
