After  teasing the smartphone   over the last couple of days, Samsung has finally launched its triple camera packing   Galaxy A7  in India. The device, which is the first of its kind from the company, features three rear cameras with the company’s Super Pixel technology for better low-light photography. Priced at Rs. 23,990 for the base version,  the new Samsung Galaxy A7 pakcs in a stunning 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display which is backed by an Exynos 7885 SoC which has an octa-core processor clocked in at 2.0GHz. The top-end variant with the  6GB RAM and 128GB storage is priced at Rs 28,990. The processor is complemented by either 4 or 6GB of RAM and 64 or 128GB of storage which can be expanded up to 512GB via the microSD card expansion slot. After announcing the Honor Play  for the global market, the company's president surprised us all by teasing the successor to the original  Honor Magic . The latter was released back in December 2016 and never got a follow-up until now, of course. The successor is called Magic 2 and the device didn't get a proper announcement - George Zhao just teased some of the key features. The most noticeable one is the so-called FullView display - no notches, no big ugly chins - just display. And as you may have figured out by yourselves, the device will have slide-out cameras as there's no room for one on the front. And yes, it looks a lot like Oppo's  Find X . However, we don't know if the back cameras - assuming they are at least two - will be attached to the slider or will be placed on the back like most smartphones. The HTC U12 Life has come to Berlin and soon will head out to the world at the end of September. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo, though not Android One. The back of the phone features two distinct textures – smooth acrylic glass and horizontal lines etched into the glass. The end result is reminiscent of the Pixel phones, but has its own look too. Two color options will be on offer: Moonlight Blue and Twilight Purple. Around the front is a 6-inch 18:9 screen, the same size as the U12+ screen. IFA is starting in Berlin and companies have already begun announcing the devices they will unveil at the conference. LG introduced today the LG G7 One and the LG G7 Fit as an addition to its smartphone portfolio. The first phone arrives with Snapdragon 835 chipset as part of the Android One program, while the latter has an older processor and likely a more affordable price tag. Xiaomi announced the  Mi 8 SE  back in May and later the phone was launched with 64 GB storage and two RAM options - 4 GB or 6 GB. Now the company adds a third version to its Mi Store - one with 128 GB storage. The phone does not differ in any other way from the Mi 8 SE that  we just reviewed . It runs on Snapdragon 710 with octa-core CPU and boots Android Oreo. The screen is a 5.88” AMOLED panel with a notch on top that houses all the traditional sensors and comes with the basic Android Face Unlock feature (the high-end face-scanning tech is reserved for the  Mi 8 Explorer ). Our Smartphone World Cup is over and it saw record participation. The final alone saw over 100,000 votes and not one but two changes in the lead. If this Cup taught us anything is that fan engagement is invaluable for the success of a phone. But first, congratulations go to the winner -  Samsung Galaxy S9+ . It won by a healthy margin, the final score was divided 58/42 in percentage terms, though it was pretty close for a while. Things changed day to day. The S9+ got the early lead and it seemed as it may cruise to victory. Yet, the  OnePlus 6  rallied its fans and with 48h remaining it was confidently in the lead. Then Samsung got its fans into the action and the Galaxy S9+ managed to swing things back in its favor. Asus ZenFone Live L1 comes with Snapdragon 425 SoC and Android Oreo (Go edition) OS. The Asus Zenfone Live L1 was announced in May this year. The Nokia X5 is set to launch in China. The smartphone will be the second from HMD Global to sport a notch. Just before the official announcement, the price of the phone has leaked. A photo that appears to be from the official Nokia Mobile Chinese website has revealed that the Nokia X5 will cost ¥799 (~$120)! Yes, you read that right. This is most likely the starting price for the device. The Nokia X5, according to TENAA, will come in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM variants with 32GB and 64GB of storage. So, ¥799 doesn’t seem like a bad price for the 3GB RAM + 32GB model. At this price, the Nokia X5 will compete with Xiaomi’s Redmi 6, Redmi 6 Pro, and even the Redmi S2. And if it does come with an Helio P60 processor, it is easy to see which phone is the winner here.
