Get Free Laser Engraving on Your Xiaomi Phone at Mi Home Experience Stores in India

Getting your initials or company’s logo laser-engraved on your smartphone or any other personal gadget can prove to be a costly process, but if you happen to have a Xiaomi device, you can get it done for free.

The company is offering free laser engraving services at its Mi Experience Stores in India, where you can get your name, a brand’s logo or even the image of your favorite cartoon/movie character engraved at the back of your smartphone without paying a dime.

According to a video posted by popular YouTuber Dhananjay Bhosale, one can now visit any Xiaomi Experience Store in the country and get the laser engraving done on their Xiaomi device, which can be a smartphone or a power bank, provided it is made out of metal.

The user also shared some sample images of laser engraving done on a Xiaomi smartphone and a power bank. It must be noted that Xiaomi began offering free laser engraving services to customers in China back in 2014, and seems to brought the same to India. Interestingly, Xiaomi’s first Mi Home Experience store in India in Chennai also had a laser engraving setup. The Chennai was an initial showcase for the Mi Home Experience, and the company has opened full-fledged stores in Mumbai and Delhi since then.

Xiaomi Redmi 7 Pro With Waterdrop-Shaped Notch, 5.84-Inch Display Spotted on TENAA

Last week, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 series was alleged to have passed through 3C certification, and now the Redmi 7 Pro has apparently passed through TENAA as well, tipping specifications and design details. The smartphone is seen sporting a waterdrop-shaped notch, a dual camera setup at the back, and a rear fingerprint sensor as well. Specifications tipped include a 5.84-inch display, and a 2,900mAh battery. To recall, all three models have been tipped to come with 4G LTE support and 5V/2A charging that could translate into 10W charge support. The TENAA listing states that the new Xiaomi variant with model number M1901F9T will come in a glossy black variant, and sport a waterdrop-shaped notch, just like other mid-range smartphones from Vivo and Oppo recently. Xiaomi Mi A1 Oreo Beta update now seeding Last week Xiaomi was looking for beta testers of the Mi A1 Android Oreo upgrade. Today the update has finally started seding and we even got a bunch of screenshots from it. The Oreo Beta of the Xiaomi Mi A1 is 1104 MB in size, and according to an early adopter makes the fingerprint reader on the back is a bit faster. Apparently, the dual-SIM feature is not entirely flawless in this early edition, though. The tests should end soon as Xiaomi promised that the Mi A1 Oreo stable update will arrive before the end of 2017.
