  • It is tipped to pack a 3500mAh battery with VOOC flash charging

Oppo F9 Pro India launch event is on and the price is about to be revealed. This includes what is possibly one of the smallest notches seen on a smartphone. The Oppo F9 Pro launch event began with the company touting two-hour talktime via just five minutes of charging. The brand director of Oppo India, Will Yang, took the stage first. The company first spoke about its recent innovations in the smartphone space, starting with a briefing about the Oppo Find X and other smartphones Oppo has launched in its history. Then the company finally began talking about Oppo F9 Pro after this introduction, via its product manager Rishabh Srivastava. Alongside the Pro model, the company has launched the Oppo F9 smartphone in India, with 4GB RAM and 16-megapixel camera on the back.
He called Oppo F9 Pro's VOOC fast charging technology its biggest feature. He said the smartphone can be charged for five minutes to deliver two hours of talk time. You get 11 percent of battery with five minutes of charging. With 30 minutes charge, you get 57 percent of battery. Oppo F9 Pro's VOOC flash chargers come with five layers of protection, which keeps the smartphone's battery safe even with such a high charging speed, Oppo India claims. For the Indian market, Oppo has kept voltage fluctuation in mind, which apparently protects the chargers from voltage fluctuations, and the charging cable also has more pins for this, Srivastava said. The Oppo F9 Pro has AI battery management to deliver better battery life, Oppo claims.
Oppo F9 Pro also has some AI features in the camera, which allows it to give better lighting to photos taken with the bokeh effect, the company claims. The smartphone features AI scene recognition, and an artistic portrait mode. The phone also has AR stickers, slow motion video recording, HDR mode for photos, Oppo says.
Oppo F9 Pro comes with ColorOS 5.2 with Android 8.1 Oreo. ColorOS also comes with Google Lens integrated. The phone has a Smart Bar feature that lets you play games or watch videos while chatting with friends via quick replies. Oppo has collaborated with PUBG Mobile, although more details about the collaboration weren't revealed at the event. The Oppo F9 Pro has a Touchpal keyboard that supports 100 different languages. It has 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with support for microSD card support up to 256GB with dedicated slot. The smartphone will support dual Nano SIM cards. As for the Oppo F9, it has similar specifications and features as the Pro model, but has 4GB of RAM and a 16-megapixel camera in front.

How to chat privately in WhatsApp Groups with friends, family

WhatsApp beta version 2.18.335 for Android has now received a new feature that allows users to reply to Group chats privately. The feature has been in testing for quite some time now and is now finally rolling out to the beta version of the app. The ability to reply to chats privately in a Group has been a widely-requested feature and looks like it will roll out to the stable build in the coming days. As the name suggests, the feature allows any user in a Group to reply to a chat privately, and the reply window takes users to the individual's chat. The feature is particularly useful when Group comments have been set to 'administrators only' and the only way for non-administrators to reply to a chat in a Group is through the 'Reply privately' option.  How to chat privately in WhatsApp Groups The feature is currently only available on WhatsApp beta.
