Samsung smartphone with four cameras coming this year

Samsung may be readying a device with four cameras on the back and it won't be a Galaxy Note nor a Galaxy S (nor the foldable Galaxy F) phone. The information comes from Twitter user and popular leakster Ice universe.
In his tweet Ice universe makes clear we're talking about a device that will launch in 2018 with four cameras, although no details were provided.
So, what could it be? If we had to guess we would take a pick among Samsung's A series and say that it could be a Galaxy A9 device for 2019 - those typically launch at the end of previous year. Since the current A-series have dual front cameras it's not hard to imagine that the next gen will also pack dual rear ones as they often inherit Galaxy S flagship features.

Huawei's alternative operating system to Android may be called Ark OS: Report

Since US President Donal Trump's executive order to ban Huawei in the country, several companies cut ties with Huawei. First Google announced that it will  revoke Android license  from the company, then  German chipmaker Infineon suspended shipments to Huawei , soon after  ARM employees were instructed to suspend business with Huawei , and then  Microsoft took down Huawei laptops from its store . Intel, Qualcomm, and  SD Association  have also suspended their business with the company. Meaning, if Huawei wanted to continue to be the  second largest smartphone maker in the world , or even remain in the industry, it needs to sustain itself. In order to do that, with the Android license revoked, last week, Huawei said that it could roll out its own operating system for smartphones and laptops in China. The new OS was believed to be announced this autumn, and we already see the plan coming along. The Huawei P30 Pro. Image: Omkar ...

Lenovo patents vertically foldable phone look like razr

Back in September 2018, Lenovo filed a patent at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Office) imagining a foldable smartphone with a vertical fold. It resembles  Motorola's Razr smartphone   to some extent because it has a secondary screen. It  is also look like 2019 version of Motorola Razr let's see what Lenovo do with this patent. It has a big hinge on the back letting you choose the flex point so you can fold it halfway or almost fully. This way part of the screen remains visible and usable. The idea is reminiscent of Sharp's design that we saw last week.         Lenovo's foldable phone renders based on the patent By the looks of it, the bezels are big enough to accommodate the front-facing camera and the earpiece along with the usual sensors and the back has only one camera pictured. Of course, this is just a preliminary design and could change upon release if the project sees broad daylight at all. Via
