LG Watch W7 with Wear OS may launch alongside the LG V40 ThinQ

The LG V40 ThinQ event  on October 3  may also bring a new Wear OS smartwatch – tentatively called the LG Watch W7. That’s the same watch we heard about way back  in April . Things move slowly in the world of Wear OS, previously known as Android Wear. That watch promised a 1.2” 360x360px screen, similar to the LG Watch Style(though perhaps an LCD instead of P-OLED). And it will use the same old Snapdragon Wear 2100, at least that’s what the old rumor said. Qualcomm has since unveiled the Wear 3100 and Wear 2500, so there might have been an upgrade along the way. Those old rumors also said “no” to GPS and NFC, the presence of a heart rate monitor is unknown (the Style didn’t have one, but the Watch Sport did). Join us Wednesday next week to see if delaying the new watch half a year brought an upgrades to the rumored specs. And to see the LG V40 ThinQ, of course.

Samsung smartphone with four cameras coming this year

Samsung may be readying a device with four cameras on the back and it won't be a Galaxy Note nor a Galaxy S (nor the foldable Galaxy F) phone. The information comes from Twitter user and popular leakster  Ice universe . In his tweet Ice universe makes clear we're talking about a device that will launch in 2018 with four cameras, although no details were provided. So, what could it be? If we had to guess we would take a pick among Samsung's A series and say that it could be a Galaxy A9 device for 2019 - those typically launch at the end of previous year. Since the current A-series have dual front cameras it's not hard to imagine that the next gen will also pack dual rear ones as they often inherit Galaxy S flagship features.

Apple records first-ever accident in self-driving car programme

The self-driving car was rear-ended while merging onto an expressway near the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters New York:  An Apple Inc self-driving car was rear-ended while merging onto an expressway near the company’s Silicon Valley headquarters this month, the company said in an accident report posted on Friday that confirmed the iPhone maker is still in the race to build autonomous vehicles. Apple executives have never publicly spoken about the company’s self-driving car programme, but filings in a criminal court case last month confirmed that the company had at least 5,000 employees working on the project and that it was working on circuit boards and a “proprietary chip” related to self-driving cars. Apple is entering a crowded field where rivals such as Alphabet Inc’s Waymo unit and traditional carmakers such as General Motors Co’s Cruise Automation, as well as startups such as Silicon Valley’s Zoox, are pouring billions of dollars into cars that can drive themsel

Please update from the iOS 12 beta.” If you’ve been running the latest version of Apple’s beta software for OS 12, you’ve likely been pestered by this notification a whole lot over the last 24 hours. Dozens of times? Potentially hundreds? Yesterday, it started showing up every time an iOS device was unlocked — or even if you just pulled down the notification tray a little bit. Thankfully, just as we enter Labor Day weekend, Apple has shipped another iOS 12 update to restore sanity. If you open up your iPhone’s settings, iOS 12 public beta 10 (developer beta 12) is now available to download. Once you do, the obnoxious, constant alert — about an update that didn’t even exist — will go away. GuilhermeRamo managed to pinpoint what went wrong with the last iOS 12 beta.
