How to chat privately in WhatsApp Groups with friends, family

WhatsApp beta version 2.18.335 for Android has now received a new feature that allows users to reply to Group chats privately. The feature has been in testing for quite some time now and is now finally rolling out to the beta version of the app. The ability to reply to chats privately in a Group has been a widely-requested feature and looks like it will roll out to the stable build in the coming days. As the name suggests, the feature allows any user in a Group to reply to a chat privately, and the reply window takes users to the individual's chat. The feature is particularly useful when Group comments have been set to 'administrators only' and the only way for non-administrators to reply to a chat in a Group is through the 'Reply privately' option.

How to chat privately in WhatsApp Groups

  1. The feature is currently only available on WhatsApp beta. Ensure that you are a beta tester of the app before proceeding.
  2. Update to the latest version of WhatsApp beta, which is version number 2.18.335.
  3. Following the update, enter any WhatsApp Group, highlight the chat of the person you want to reply privately.
  4. On the top right corner of the app, users will see the option to 'Reply privately'. Clicking the button will take users to the individual chat.
  5. Thus, WhatsApp users can reply privately to chats on WhatsApp Groups.
As we mentioned earlier, the feature is particularly useful when Group replies are restricted to administrators. Prior to the update, Group participants could not text on the Groups and the new feature will address the issue. WhatsApp has been on a spree bringing out updates and the latest update to reach the stable build is the ability to use Stickers.
However, considering that it is a beta build, there is an issue which causes WhatsApp to crash when a user tries to delete media in a chat. Meanwhile, WhatsApp has confirmed that it will be bringing advertisements in its Status feature. WhatsApp Status is similar to Instagram/Facebook Stories wherein users can share media/text that stays visible for 24 hours. WhatsApp Status advertisement will help the company monetise through the app.

Huawei Employee Reportedly Reveals Android P Name, And It’s Not What You Think

It’s that time of the year when the world speculates on which dessert will be used as the name for the next Android version. While there have been several easter eggs and hints about Android P’s official name, there’s no clarity on what it might actually be called. According a report by   Tabeltowo , a Huawei employee might have just leaked the full name of Android P as Android Pistachio. During a live chat with a customer, the Huawei support staff clearly said Android Pistachio in relation to a query about software updates in Poland, as seen in the image below: While simply Pistachio might not make sense to most people, considering the fact that Google is known for naming its Android version after desserts, a previous report might help. Back in February,  Bloomberg had reported  that Android P would be called Android Pistachio Ice Cream which makes more sense than just Pistachio. But we are sure you have other P-themed desserts in mind for the official name. So, does And
