Notch-free OnePlus 7 image surface online: Key design elements revealed ahead of launch

OnePlus 7 has already been subjected to multiple leaks in the recent past and while the OnePlus 6T was an instant success all over the world, fans and critics alike have even more expectations from the OnePlus 7. Now, according to a new leak, the upcoming smartphone from OnePlus will reportedly witness a huge design upgrade while the positioning of the front camera might also be changed.
According to SlashLeaks, the OnePlus 7 prototype image has been leaked in which the smartphone could be seen alongside the OnePlus 6T. The image clearly focuses the top half of both the device where the alleged OnePlus 7 could be seen with an all-screen display at the front instead of the waterdrop notch design we saw on the OnePlus 6T.

It seems that the front camera of the OnePlus 7 will also be removed from the front panel in order to offer the all-screen front with minimum bezels and top chin. This also means that the front camera could be offered in the pop-up slider camera design which we saw in the Vivo Nex and Honor Magic 2. While there could also be a sliding camera module like the Mi Mix 3, the front camera can also be shifted to the bottom chin but this is highly unlikely as it is an almost 2-year-old design.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 7 is expected to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, Android 9.0 Pie, a triple camera-setup on the back along with some other major upgrades. The OnePlus 7 launch is expected by May or June this year while the smartphone can also be announced during the MWC 2019 which will be organised in Barcelona, Spain.

WhatsApp beta version 2.18.335 for Android has now received a new feature that allows users to reply to Group chats privately. The feature has been in testing for quite some time now and is now finally rolling out to the beta version of the app. The ability to reply to chats privately in a Group has been a widely-requested feature and looks like it will roll out to the stable build in the coming days. As the name suggests, the feature allows any user in a Group to reply to a chat privately, and the reply window takes users to the individual's chat. The feature is particularly useful when Group comments have been set to 'administrators only' and the only way for non-administrators to reply to a chat in a Group is through the 'Reply privately' option.  How to chat privately in WhatsApp Groups The feature is currently only available on WhatsApp beta. The authentication, once enabled, will be required for users to open the app. The Facebook-owned instant messaging service was recently reported to bring a similar feature to iPhone as well, supporting two biometric authentication methods - both Face ID and Touch ID. It appears this won't be limited to iPhone, and users on Android will get fingerprint authentication, but no facial recognition based authentication, thanks to the lack of a widely used standard on the platform.
